JohnJohn McLellan earned 2024 Rookie of the Year honors in Formula Karts Mexico competition, continuing the rapid progression of one of North America’s emerging young karting talents.

Competing internationally against experienced national-level drivers, the Southern California racer quickly established himself as a standout newcomer through consistent front-running performances and rapid development throughout the season.

McLellan was recognized at the Formula Karts Mexico annual awards presentation with the series’ “Novato del Año” (Rookie of the Year) award.

The achievement marked the second time McLellan earned Rookie of the Year recognition in Mexico competition. He previously received the same honor in 2022 while competing in the Micro Swift category during his first full season racing internationally.

The 2024 season represented McLellan’s second year competing internationally in Mexico and helped accelerate his progression into national and international junior karting competition.
